CampVerdict The ranger post for off-grid decisions

Contact us

There is one way to reach CampVerdict: email contact@campverdict.com. That address handles everything, including corrections to a guide, questions about where a number came from, and enquiries from brands. We read every message and aim to reply within a few business days.

We do not run a phone line or a support desk, and we do not run social media accounts, so if you see the CampVerdict name anywhere other than this site or that email address, it is not us.

Reporting an error in a guide

This is the message we most want to get. Our guides carry prices, capacities, fees and policy details that change without warning, and the fastest way we find out is a reader telling us. If a figure on a page is wrong or out of date, we would rather fix the page than defend it.

A correction is quicker to act on when it includes:

  1. The page address, so we are looking at the same guide you are.
  2. The exact sentence or table row that looks wrong.
  3. What the correct figure is, and where you saw it. A manufacturer spec sheet, an official fee schedule or a booking screen all work. A screenshot is ideal.

Verified corrections are applied to the page and the update date shown on it is changed, so you can see the guide moved. If we cannot trace a claim to a source we trust, we remove it rather than leave it standing. Our sourcing rules are set out in how we evaluate.

Questions about our research

Ask. If a guide ranks one option above another, or quotes a running cost, a weight or a battery figure, there is a reason behind it and we will tell you what that reason was. Where a number came from an advertiser rather than an independent test, our pages say so, and we are happy to point at the exact source in an email too.

Brands, advertisers and PR

Manufacturers, rental platforms and connectivity providers are welcome to write to the same address, and corrections from a brand about its own product are treated the same as any other correction: send the spec sheet and we will check it.

What we do not accept is paid placement. We do not sell links, guest posts, sponsored reviews or a position in a ranking, and payment never buys a recommendation or removes a drawback from a page. We do earn commission on some links, which is set out in full in our affiliate disclosure. Unsolicited pitches for unrelated products are deleted unread.

What we cannot help with

We are an independent publisher, not a retailer, a rental agency or an internet provider. We cannot look up your order, change or cancel a booking, process a return, handle a warranty claim or access any account you hold with a company we write about. Those all have to go to that company directly.

We also do not do paid consulting or design an electrical system for a specific rig, because doing that properly needs eyes on the vehicle. What we can do is point you at the guide that covers your question, and our guides section is the place most of those answers live.

What happens to your message

Your email is used to answer you and, if you sent a correction, to check and fix the page. We do not sell or share contact details, and we do not add anyone to a mailing list from an enquiry. Full details are in our privacy policy.
